Clarence Kennedy, an Olympic Irish weightlifter who can lift 485 lb over his head, reveals the massive amount of plant-based calories he eats in a day. Each meal consists of about 1,000 calories, and totals up to between 3,500 and 4,500 kcal for the day. Surprisingly, many of Clarence’s meals lean towards the junk-foodie side of the vegan spectrum, but the strongman insists that is only because he is traveling.
The breakfast he eats in the video – a huge helping of fruit, oats, soy milk, and peanut butter – appears to be more representative of the way he normally eats when he’s not on the road. Other meals for the day, included: spicy tofu and vegetables, vegan mac ‘n’ cheese balls, deep fried avocado, and a vegan cheeseburger with fries. He also ate a few cookies. Watch the video below to check out the full day of eating and hear Clarence explain why he went vegan.
