My mother’s favorite restaurant is Red Lobster, so I’ve had to go there on a number of birthdays and other occasions. I will admit, I loved their cheese biscuits when I was a kid, but of course, those are not vegan and therefore off the menu for me these days. Menus can vary from one Red Lobster location to another, but that shouldn’t affect your vegan options that much.
Entrees
It should probably go without saying that you won’t have any vegan options for entrees at Red Lobster because every main course contains either seafood or meat. However, you could ask them to make you a pasta dish without any seafood, meat, or dairy. That might sound boring, but it’s a surprisingly good alternative.
Sides and Salads
Your best bet is to stick with sides and salads, all of which can be made vegan if they aren’t by default. When ordering a salad, just ask for a dressing you know is vegan, like oil and vinegar, on the side. The green beans, baked potatoes, and crispy potatoes are vegan, but the asparagus and broccoli are cooked with butter; however, you can ask them to make those sides without butter.
Desserts
Fresh fruit is probably the only vegan dessert option you’re going to have at Red Lobster, but you can still ask the server if they have any other vegan desserts, because it may vary depending on the location.
