Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is a fast-service restaurant that is famous for their delicious fried chicken. You wouldn’t expect them to have many vegan options if any at all. Right? But it turns out that they actually do have a few vegan-friendly items on their menu these days.
It’s not entirely surprising that most of their vegan options are side dishes rather than the main meal itself. Their specialty is chicken, after all. However, you could still cobble together enough of a meal to satisfy your hunger if you ordered enough of them.
In short, if you’re a vegan being dragged to Popeyes by your omnivorous friends, it’s not the worst place they could take you. Although there aren’t a ton of options for vegans here, there are a few choices available to you. We’ve made things simple by sorting through their menu so that you don’t have to. Update 08/20/15: We recently found out the red beans and rice have bacon in them, so we have removed them from this list.
Update 08/21/15: The cajun rice also has meat in it, so we are no longer including it in our list.
