Panda Express is a popular Chinese restaurant chain that is typically found in food courts at malls and airports. Surprisingly, Panda Express does not offer any vegan, or even vegetarian dishes. This includes sides. Our advice is to skip Panda Express if you’re a strict vegan/vegetarian.
Vegan Panda Express Food Is Not Available
The excerpt below is from Panda Express’ website/FAQ where they mention that vegan panda express food is not an option.
“We do not offer vegetarian dishes. Our food is prepared and cooked in the same area where meat is prepared.”

Other Vegan-Friendly Chinese Options
In my experience, most mom and pop Chinese restaurants offer at least a few vegan options you should consider instead of looking for Panda Express vegan food. You just might want to ask if the dish in question contains fish sauce before ordering because some seemingly vegan-friendly dishes, like vegetable lo mein, are traditional made with fish and/or oyster sauce. If you’re looking for a Chinese chain that has vegan options, P.F. Chang’s has a quite a few vegan-friendly menu items.

Thanks! Headed to a business lunch where client picked the restaurant. Good to know what’s vegan and what’s not! I’ll be using you guys before I head out to restaurants I’m unsure of.
According to Panda Express website, none of their items are even vegetarian… Even mixed veggies are cooked with stock
They really don’t want more business from health consence people do they. Get on their comments section and tell them know they are losing business and you want to go to their restaurants but they don’t offer any healthy vegan choices. They do listen to that!
This is not true. I called their headquarters and confirmed the white rice, steamed rice, mixed vegetables, all sauces, and chow mein do not contain chicken stock. I mentioned I’m vegan and the representative said “oh we are not vegan though”. I responded but you just confirmed those foods contain no animal ingredients and her response was “but there could be cross contamination by using the same cooking equipment”
Oops. Didn’t mean to put white rice twice. Fried rice is vegan too since they stopped using eggs about 6 months ago
I usually get the white rice with mixed veggies and load it up with surracha and soy sauce. It’s pretty filling and vegan I believe.
