For a long time we were uncertain if Einstein Bros.’ bagels contain l-cystein, and if they do, if it is synthetic – vegan friendly – or not. Well, we finally got an answer from them, and it’s good news for vegans! Here’s what they told us:

Thank you so much for contacting Einstein Noah Restaurant Group! Please know that at this time all bagels we produce for Einstein Bros. and Noah’s are made with a synthetic form of L-Cysteine that does not contain duck feathers or hair.
