Sriracha is definitely vegan, and vegans love to cook with it. Is sriracha vegan? Sriracha is technically a generic kind of sweet chili sauce traditionally used in Thai cooking, however, the “Sriracha” most Americans are familiar with is actually a name brand product made by Huy Fong Foods. Is Sriracha Vegan? Sriracha Ingredients (Huy Fong Foods brand)
Ingredients: Chili, sugar, salt, garlic, distilled vinegar, potassium sorbate, sodium bisulfite and xanthan gum.
For vegans who do not eat sugar filtered through bone char, Sriracha is not vegan. I emailed the company explaining that not all sugar is vegan.
