We were thinking about making popcorn tofu again this weekend, but at the last minute, we decided to try something different, and boy are we glad we did! Don’t get me wrong, popcorn tofu is absolutely delicious, and I don’t think we could ever get sick of it, but this Thai-style tofu has easily become one of our all-time favorite ways to make tofu – we’ve already made it two more times since developing the recipe a few days ago.
We adapted this recipe from a chicken recipe we found on the GreatChefs Youtube channel. You can check out that video if you want to get a better idea of how it’s made. Also, if you have access to an Asian market that sells lemongrass and Thai basil, we recommend adding those ingredients to this recipe for a truly authentic Thai flavor. However, if you can’t find them in your area, the recipe still tastes great without ’em.
