Barny Du Plessis, winner of the 2014 Mr. Universe championship recently decided to go vegan. Du Plessis was raised in a vegetarian household, but began eating meat around age 18 because he believed it would help his bodybuilding career. Now, the new Mr. Universe has decided he was wrong all along, and it’s time for him to embrace and endorse a healthier, more ethical lifestyle.
