Last year, while driving through California, we stopped at a gas station Subway to get lunch – huge mistake. We – barely – ate the worst veggie subs we’ve ever had. The bread was stale, the veggies were stale, the woman who made them was visibly miserable and inattentive… the whole experience was dreadful. We vowed then and there to never eat a bad sub again.
